Guided Tour Information

Reservations are required during the winter months; all tours are by appointment only.

Please email us to let us know what tour you'd like to attend. (See available dates and times below.) Please be sure to read everything here so you will be best prepared. Dress warm, as tours take a little over an hour, and there is not much protection from the wind out on the plains.

Be sure to include your full name, date and time you wish to attend, mailing address, and a contact number you can be reached at the day of the tour. In the event that weather or other circumstances require us to cancel tours, we will contact you on the phone number you provide us, at least one hour prior to the tour time.

Upcoming Tour Times (pending no blizzards):

Most Saturdays and Sundays at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

If you have a special request for a large group or special time, email us and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Email us at info@bigcatsofserenitysprings.org to schedule your tour time! Be sure to include your full name, date and time you wish to attend, mailing address, and a contact number you can be reached at the day of the tour (we cannot reserve your time without this info).

We also do group tours (20 or more people) by special request on Sundays or weekdays. Email us if you have a large group you would like us to accomodate.

Due to the fact that all our tours are run by our dedicated volunteers, please give us at least a business day or two to return your email. (In other words, if you wait until Friday to email us, we will do everything possible to accomodate you, but we may not be able to schedule a tour for you that weekend.) When we confirm your tour, we will send you directions and safety instructions.

If you don't live in Colorado, you can stil make a differency by sending a small donation. Donations are tax-deductible since we are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.

Also, please remember it is not too late to make donations now in order to be able to claim it on your income taxes!

IMPORTANT NOTE: Weather in this part of the state can be very unpredictable. If inclement weather is predicted for the Colorado Springs the day you are scheduled to visit, it is very likely the tour may be postoned. Also please keep in mind, even if the sun is out in town, there can still be a blizzard raging out east!

Here are the basic rules and information:

>>Tour cost is $10 per person (children under 2 are free). Coupons from this summer's promotion will still be accepted through Dec. 31, 2007 only.

>> It is very important that you do not enter the compound (the rolling gate) until you are with a guide, even if the gate is open due to work projects going on. Parking is on the grass anywhere between the main entrance gate and the rolling gate.

>>Children 2 or under will need to be carried. Strollers are not permitted inside the facility.

>>Still photo cameras only - flash is ok. Absolutely no video allowed at any time.

>> This is a walking tour that lasts for a little over one hour so dress comfortably, especially shoes. Due to the mulch spread in the entire compound in preparation for winter, it is not possible for us to accomodate wheelchairs or walkers at this time.

>> We are a home for the animals - not an 'attraction'. Therefore we work around what is best for the cats. There are times we do not allow any visitors if we believe the cats need time off.

We look forward to seeing you!
